Teach How to Travel for Cheap

+ to thebubblefish :
Description:
I'm extremely interested in traveling as much as I can. However, I AM a student who only works part time, so funds are extremely limited. I'd like ideas on how to start helping myself to reach my goals in traveling and also ideas on where to go for fun but inexpensive trips.

- Hey! My last big trip was walking the Camino de Santiago, and I SWEAR registering as a peregrino (you DO NOT have to be at all religious) is the absolute best way to travel in europe for cheap.<br>
There are special pilgrim hostels that charge on avg 3-6 euros a night (some are more, like 10, but that is still way cheaper than a normal hostel), and are in all the major cities of spain, portugal, and I think france as well (worth asking).

- I have a simple advice: RYAN AIR if you are travelling in Europe. I thought it was a joke or something when I bought a ticket from Maastrich to London for 1 Euro. I get to the airport and everything worked out great. The ironic part is that the airport taxes where around 20 euros but still, It was great. Of course they are not giving you free booze or sandwiches =)

- Another trick: If you are planing to travel around Mexico City always find a local. You will miss 90% of the city if you don't
